Rodrigo Polanco

Rodrigo Polanco is a diocesan priest and Doctor in theology (Rome). Currently, he is a tenured lecturer from the Faculty of Theology of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He has also been in the position of Vice-Dean in the same Faculty and Rector of the Pontifical Major Seminary of Santiago of Chile. He has dedicated his long academic career to researching and teaching in the areas of patrology and systematic theology. He has specialized particularly in the theology of Irenaeus of Lyon, Hans Urs von Balthasar, and Joseph Ratzinger; and in topics of ecclesiology, ecumenism, Vatican II, and Latin American theology, where he has contributed with several publications.
