D. in theology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, he has a postdoctorate in moral theology from the Pontifical Alphonsian Academy in Rome (Italy). He is dedicated to research in the interdisciplinary dialogue between Ethics and Economics. His research is in the area of integral human development and the philosophical concepts of justice, fraternity and the common good and their relationship with economic efficiency.

He is also a specialist in the social doctrine of the Church and in social moral theology.
